Fashion and Style combined with Polyvore sets
Luckily I awoke in enough time for me to watch Ruffian’s runway show. We’re already a little over halfway through fashion week and I’m shocked by how many designers actually utilized color in their collections along with neutrals this season. It’s actually a good thing, don’t be afraid of color. A color palette consisting of black, white, gold, navy blue, peach, olive green, burgundy, and purple all culminated in a lovely collection that impressed me to no end. Leather was prevalent in this runway collection, used in pieces ranging from jackets to pants.
A choker was the star of one look in this collection, bringing back a taste of the 1990s and part of the typical middle school girl style at the school I attended when I was a kid. Tweed was used in some looks; while velvet and brocade were also used. Puff sleeve blouses were in for this collection, the same for cropped pants, blazers, an a-line skirt, a cape, a floor length skirt, and high-waist pants . Prints and patterns were also featured well in this collection. Overall, there was this ambience of 1960s-1970s era schoolgirl/secretary intersecting at 1980s era power-suit executive woman with this line. Once again, I have been impressed by this collection.
