Chronicles of a Pseudo Stylist

Fashion and Style combined with Polyvore sets

Welcome to the Digital Coverage of MBNYFW Fall/Winter 2015-16: Day 2!

We are now onto day 2 of NYFW Fall/Winter 2015-16, while the first day was slightly impressive, much to my surprise, I can’t wait to see what today has in store for us! So far it appears that I may recover from the doldrums that came along with the S/S 2015 runway shows, which is a good thing. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed as far as the runway shows in London, Milan, and Paris are concerned. I was actually more impressed with the collections that came from the runways of Moscow, Russia, when Moscow hosted their S/S 2015 fashion week six months ago. As far as I was concerned, Moscow was clearly the new Paris that season. I would love to see less minimalism coming from Dior and (Yves)Saint Laurent. However, that’s something to talk about when I discuss Paris’ Fashion Week next month and the recent Haute Couture season in separate entries.

Nevertheless, I look forward to these next two fashion filled months with a mixture of excitement and a little bit of dread. I am definitely excited to see what the rest of NYFW will bring us, I am actually looking forward to today! The designers scheduled to show today are Concept Korea at 9am*, Mongol at 10am, Mark & Estel at 11am, Rebecca Minkoff at 3pm, Nicole Miller at 6pm, Charlotte Ronson at 6:30-8pm, Monique Lhuillier at 7pm, Ricardo Seco at 7pm, August Getty at 9pm, Wes Gordon at 10am, Kate Spade at 11am, Ready to Fish at noon, Tanya Taylor at noon, Zimmermann at noon, Jason Wu at 1pm, Sally LaPointe at 2pm, Orley at 2pm, Cynthia Rowley at 2pm, Cushnie et Ochs at 3pm, M Missoni at 3pm, Rodebjer at 4pm, Adam Selman at 4pm, Novis at 4:30pm, VPL at 5pm, A Détacher at 6pm, Suno at 8pm, and N. Hoolywood at 7pm. August Getty is the final show for the day, just so you know.

Reviews will be posted when I get to them, however you can also view the collections over at style.com or nowfashion.com. In the reviews, you’ll get a link to the runway video found on YT, photographs of the looks in the runway collection on either style.com or nowfashion.com. I may even surprise you with both!

*= According to nowfashion.com, Concept Korea appears to have been rescheduled. It has moved Feb. 19 and will take place at noon.
